Quillnote

Quillnote is a free note taking developed by a Comp. Sci student at the University of Thessaly. It's fast, easy to use, and has tons of functionality including audio recording, markdown support, tags, and image attachments. Best of all it's Open-Source (GPL-3.0) and supports synchronization with Nextcloud (experimental)! On the downside search is fairly basic and hidden in a menu. Ugly

• Shows markdown while editing, I prefer WYSIWYG, i.e. hide the markup by default and have option to show it
• Table doesn't seem to render when viewing a note
• The usability for tags is odd: go to hamburger, tags, then choose a tag

Bad

• Should be able to click (or double click) a note to edit it
• Can't check/uncheck a checklist item when viewing a note in the main screen
• Can't click on a tag from a note and see other notes with same tag
